Clifton Thomas Robertson

December 10, 1951 ~ March 23, 2020

Clifton Thomas Robertson

For Clifton Thomas Robertson, physical life began on Monday December 10th 1951 in Vancouver, BC. And It ended on Monday March 23rd 2020, at home, in Whitehorse, YT.

His wife of 6,883 wonderful days, Sheila Robertson, wishes to thank Dr Danusha , Nurse Richelle and other members of the Homecare staff who assisted in making Clif’s strong desire of ‘Staying home and allowing nature to run it’s full course’ a comfortable possibility. We are grateful. Much love and appreciation as well, to family and friends for their love and support throughout his Prostate cancer journey of 235 days….. 338,400 minutes to be exact, from his August 1stdiagnosis, till his peaceful surrender.

His parents William (Bill) and Evelyn Robertson and his brother Leonard Robertson had a head start and were there to greet him, along with many other loved ones, anticipating his arrival.

Clif is missed and remembered with love by his brothers Boyd (Joyce) Robertson of Cranbrook BC and Paul (Charlotte) Robertson of Kamloops BC, and his sister Joan (Robin) Stevens of Abbotsford BC. His children whom he adored and loved deeply, were at his side tenderly caring for him; Tammy (Dave) Robertson Koop and  Jennifer (Narvinder) Bamara,  of Abbotsford, BC, Marta Rogers and Miller Rogers of Whitehorse, YT. He is also survived by many wonderful Grandchildren, Nieces and  Nephews.

Clif retired from 10 years with the RCMP ‘911’ M Division in June of 2012.  He was an Entrepreneur, Painter, Missionary, Talented Musician, Graphic Designer, Dog Groomer, Husband, Father, and Friend.

His creative Hobbies included crafting Beer, Wine, Soap, Candles, Herbal lotions, Remedies, sprays and Salves. He was a fantastic gardener. Clif was a capable carpenter, mechanic, computer tech, photographer, dog trainer, cook, comedian, farmer, fisherman and always a lover of Life, travel, and adventure.

His sense of humour was often ‘shocking’ and people were surprised when they got to know the ‘real Clif’ that lurked beneath his seemingly ‘normal and Quiet’ exterior.

Clif left us as he lived, bravely, and with an unshakeable faith in God.  For him, he fully anticipated this next chapter……life has just begun and the best is yet to come.  Are you Ready? He would ask with a twinkle in his eye.

We hope to gather for some music, drink and Clif stories sometime in the future…. Though he indicated he didn’t want a fuss being made…. We will definitely get together, a place and time will be announced post COVID19.

Yes Clif did have a sense of humor that was different but that is what made Clif, Clif. I remember working at Fresh Fire Canada and Clif was the graphic designer and computer tech and sitting around and laughing at some of the jokes that Clif was telling, it was hilarious.
