Clinton “Clint” Keith McCue

September 16, 1960 ~ March 16, 2021

Clinton “Clint” Keith McCue

Clinton “Clint” Keith McCue, A GREAT Son, Brother, Uncle, and friend to so many, passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 16, 2021, at the age of 60.

Clint was born in British Columbia on September 16, 1960, to Red McCue (deceased) and Joan Jacobson. After finishing high school, he followed his grandfather’s path into the Military, joining the Airborne Engineers (Sapper). He was so proud of his service to Canada, jumping out of perfectly good airplanes and blowing things up.

He moved back to the Yukon, where he entered the Yukon Trades College and became a heavy-duty mechanic. After working for some larger companies, he decided that he needed to be his own boss and started Rouge Contracting, where he would take on contracts across northern Canada.

The last few days have shown our family how much he was loved by many old and young alike; stories of helping those in need, protection, mentoring, and advice. He would give the shirt off his back if you needed it. His kind words were given without hesitation, and a sharp tongue when needed.

There is so much love from so many friends!

Our nephew Clint was a truly wonderful and caring person. A man of character who projected a very straight forward honesty and attitude about life. Surprising to some who only knew him as a hard living contractor, Clint’s affinity for reading often saw him deep in a book in the late hours of the night. He will be missed by all who knew him, especially his family. He passed too young, but his love and generousity of spirit will not be soon forgotten by any who really knew him.

Clint was truly like family. He was so giving and always went out of his way to think of others. It is hard to wrap my mind around him being gone because he had so much life in him . My condolences to everyone that knew Clint. He will be forever missed, never forgotten. I am thankful to have so many happy memories with this man.

A great neighbor. Borrowed lots of tools from this guy. Maybe took a while to find what he was looking for! Always helped when he could. Big heart.

Clint, I could write a novel about the stories and memories you created for our family. From a young age you taught me if I worked hard I could earn a dollar – hiring me at 10 to clean for you and paying way more then a 10 year old knows what to do with! You were always so generous, expecting nothing but a laugh and a smile back. You were a constant reminder for my dad to have a good hard laugh with friends and family, as often as possible! You were to him what a friend should be. I’ll miss your random phone calls to say hi and those summer bbqs with more food then we knew what to do with! My girls were lucky to have you as well, they know they have an angel in the sky that they can talk to. You’ll be missed big time Clint, the love will never stop flowing your way.
