James Yoshio George Profeit
October 21, 1944 ~ November 19, 2019
It is with great sadness that we announce Jimmy’s passing. He passed away at Whistle Bend Place in Whitehorse after a lengthy illness.
Jimmy leaves behind wife Linda, son Marcel (Beverley), brothers: Dan (Diana); Michael (Kate); and sister Marjorie. Two grandchildren Dryden and Mitchell (Fiona), and nieces and nephews, Michiko, Charlie, Paul, Deanna and Matthew.
Thank you to his medical team of Dr. Madlung, Dr. Bousquet, Dr. Kmet, and numerous specialists in Vancouver. The family extends special appreciation to the compassionate and caring staff at Whistle Bend Place.
Jimmy requested a “Get-together” which will be held at Whistle Bend Place, Saturday December 7th 2:00pm – 4:00pm. Please drop in for a cup of Jimmy’s favourite – small black McDonald’s coffee and share a few stories.

Sorry I’m not going to make it to this last “get together” for you Cousin Jim. Glad I was able to spend some time with you when I was up there in August. I’ll always remember the times we spent together growing up as kids and fun we had at the various curling bonspiels we went to together. My love, thoughts and prayers for all of the Profeit family, especailly to Linda, Dan, Marjory and Michael.

Linda: So sorry to hear. We are not to have favourite patients, obviously, but I must admit Jim was a favourite of mine! His sense of humour and kind heart will surely be missed. I will remember him always.
