John Gullison Sr.

March 2, 1936 ~ December 13, 2020

John Gullison Sr.

John moved to the Yukon in the late 70s to drive for White Pass and Yukon Route.

He soon realised he had found his forever home. As a Pilot, career Truck Driver, an avid hunter and fisherman there was no better place in his mind other than the occasional trip back to the Maritimes to indulge in Lobster and Scallops. In his 40+ years in Whitehorse, John drove for various Trucking companies as the Mining economy dictated, played softball, and was an active Member of the Royal Canadian Legion.

Prior to his move to The Yukon, John spent some time in New Brunswick (his place of birth), Calgary, and 10 years in the Boston, Mass. area working for Pepsi Cola and on weekends would Pilot a sightseeing Excursion from the Tewksbury airport around Boston and the surrounding area. While in Boston he played semi-pro hockey and was an accomplished boxer. On the odd weekend off he would pilot his Cessna to St. Stephen, NB, to visit family and friends.

John has left behind to mourn, many family members and friends from the Yukon to the Maritimes.

We would like to thank the staff at Copperidge Place, Whistlebend Care Facility and WGH for all that they do every day.

I have many fond memories of Uncle Billy, his teasing and endless pranks.
    He will be greatly missed
