Jeannine McGregor
Passed away peacefully at Whitehorse General Hospital with her
husband at her side.
Jeannine was born in Saskatchewan and moved to Vancouver with her
parents age 7, then at 19 years of age moved to Victoria when after 13
years came to the Yukon where she lived her past 43 years. She loved all
that the Yukon stood for.
She leaves behind husband Alex Kmyta, and his son Ray (Shannon),
daughters Sheila and Debbie, as well she leaves behind her daughter Carolyn,
sons Colin (Linden) and Dean, brother Glen Seaborn (Calgary), and
grandchildren Amanda, Brennan and Hannah. She will be dearly missed.
She loved her job with YTG of 26 years, and she loved her retirement.
Mostly she loved the people she called her friends and family, and we
loved her.
The family thanks Dr. Chau for his excellent care and commitment to
Jeannine and her wishes. We thank the doctors and nurses at WGH ICU
and ED for their support and thank home nursing care for their support.
We invite all who wish to come to attend a celebration of Jeannine’s life,
Thursday, May 19, 2016, 2-4pm at Mt. Mac Recreation Centre,
1 Sumanik Drive, Whitehorse, Yukon.
