February 15, 1951 ~ July 12, 2019

Konnie Mary Vigeant

It is with profound sadness that I announce the peaceful passing of Konnie Vigeant at home.

Konnie will be dearly missed by her husband of 30 years, John Hadvick and her daughter Angelique Vigeant.

Konnie was predeceased by her father Norris Poole, sister Colleen Beggs, brother Douglas Poole, and niece Lorie Breckner; mother-in-law Karen Hadvick, and father in law Siebert Hadvick.

She is survived by her husband John Hadvick, her daughter Angelique Vigeant, mother Jean Poole, brother Murray (Bonnie) Poole; sisters Diane (Dave) Breckner, Joanne (Bruce) Helmkay, sister-in-law Barb Poole, brother-in-law Bryan (Elsie) Breggs; sisters-in-law Sheila (Denis) Elena Droiun and Sonja (Justin and Kaighen) Hadvick/Monroe; her Yukon sisters Charmaine Klippert and Judy Couture and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Konnie was born in Saskatoon on February 15, 1951, and moved to Zelma, Saskatchewan in 1951, then to Colonsay in 1966 with her family. In 1969 Konnie and her daughter moved to Fario, YT to be with her former husband.

In 1971 she and Angelique moved to Whitehorse where she found work at the Whitehorse General Hospital from 1971 to 1976. From 1977 to 1982 she worked in Road construction in BC, Alberta, and Yukon.

In 1983 she started at Super Valu in Whitehorse in the meat department and worked her way up to Frontend Manager (Extra Foods) where she worked until 2013 when she left due to health complications with COPD.

As per Konnie’s wishes, where will not be a funeral or service. Down the road, there will be a private gathering of her close friends and family.

Thank you to Dr. Buchanan and receptionist Carol for all that you did.

Thank you, Charmaine Klippert, Judy Couture, Vickie Malchow, and Lee Stevens for all your help during this difficult time.

Konnie was one of the good ones.

May your garden always flourish as our love as soul mates did. Miss you my wonderful partner, you are at peace now. God Bless. Goodnight my darling, until we meet again.~John

Such a wonderful classy lady. Will miss her and the light she brought to the world. She taught me a lot and was a role model for strong independent women. I won’t forget all the wonderful times we had together…..my sincerest condolences to all her family and dear friends.
