Marion Faye Woods

January 3, 1930 ~ June 15, 2021

Marion passed away peacefully in Whitehorse at the age of 91. She moved to Whitehorse from North Vancouver in the 1960’s, and she worked as a Secretary for the
Federal Government – Water Board until her retirement.

Marion loved the Yukon and all it has to offer. She was especially proud of her cabin at Tagish, which she was instrumental in building. She spent many years enjoying her
time with friends at the lake, and along with that came many hilarious stories.

During her younger years, Marion was a competative downhill skier. She was also an avid quilter, as well as knitter.

Sincere thanks to the staff of Birch Lodge and Copper Ridge Place for patience and kindness given to Marion over the past few years.

I worked with Marion in the 80’s and 90’s at DIAND. She was such a character. She was an amazing tailor and made all her lovely clothes. May She Rest in Peace.
