Brian Weldon Williams
Brian Weldon Williams passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026. Born and raised in Clyde River, Nova Scotia, he later met the love of his life, Nancy, and together they settled in the Annapolis Valley, where they raised their two children, Matthew and Megan.
Brian worked for Maple Leaf Foods for 33 years. Once their children were grown, he and Nancy moved to Whitehorse, Yukon Territory. There he spent his days going to the cabin, fishing, and enjoying time with family and friends. He loved playing bean bags, sitting around the campfire, and sharing stories of the past.
Throughout his life, Brian made many lifelong friends, and he cherished them. He always looked at life with positivity. He was forever smiling, loved to joke and carry on, and was always willing to help anyone with anything. He gave the very best hugs. Above all, he cherished his family and his beloved grandchildren—Burk, Brooks, Blake, and Hudson.
Brian was predeceased by his parents, Jessica and Hector Williams; his brother Lawrence Williams; and his brother-in-law Clayton Burke. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Williams; his children, Matthew (Kristin) and Megan (Justin); his grandchildren Burk, Brooks, Blake, and Hudson; his siblings Bonnie Burke, Gary (Connie) Williams, and Kevin (Annette) Williams, as well as Lawrence’s wife Heather; and by his extended family, including Nancy’s siblings Belinda (Peter), Terry (Mary), Kevin (Kelly), and Sheryl-Ann (Mike), and his parents-in-law Barb Sherman and Robert (Diane) Sherman.
The family would like to thank Dr. Ken Quong for his exceptional care and compassion, as well as all the staff at Whistle Bend Place, especially House 2.
A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Brian, you were a wonderful person. I did not know you as well as I would like to have. However the 8 days I spent in the Yukon about 10 years ago, I worshiped every moment that I spent with you. You were Nancy’s heart and soul most of her life. Will miss you Brian.

Brian was a huge part of our family for over 50 years he was a gentle soul soft spoken man who never had anything bad to say about anyone he was a compassionate man who always took the time to lend a hand he was a dedicated husband and a loving father and grandfather unfortunately he was dealt a crappy hand words are hard to find to describe how much he will be missed and his passing has left a hole in my heart it was not loosing a loving brother in law its like loosing a brother I take comfort knowing he passed peacefully with family and friends by his side he will always remain in our hearts and I will cherish all the fond memories of him that I have go rest high Brian you will be missed Love You Always Kevin.
