Beverley (Bev) Cratty

It is with great sadness the family of Bev announce her passing. Bev passed away surrounded by family at Wind River Hospice in Whitehorse on August 3, 2026.

Bev was born March 25, 1952, in Rosetown, Saskatchewan to Hugh and Margaret Cratty. Bev along with her seven siblings, was raised in the Oliver district northwest of Rosetown, After graduating high school Bev worked for the Credit Union in Bosetown and then moved onto work at the Credit Unions in Saskatoon and Kindersley, In 1980 Bev followed family north and moved to Whitehorse, Yukon. Once here she started her career working at the Kopper King and then JR’s at the Casa Loma where many regulars became lifelong friends.

Bev was a kind person who loved her family and friends deeply. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, golfing and in recent years playing crib. Despite her long and exhausting battle with cancer she never let it dampen her positive attitude and was always willing to lend a helping hand when asked.

Bev is survived by her brothers Dennis of Rosetown, William and Morris of Whitehorse, Ron of Macklin and her sister Collen of Whitehorse. Her nephew Terry (Renee) of Saskatoon, nieces Katherine (Clint) of Rosetown, Courtney and Kelsey of Whitehorse. She is also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews Alyssa (Matt), Thomas, Bella, Jayden, Kya, Jadaka, Janelle, Alexa, Lee and Luke.

Bev was predeceased by her mother Margaret in 2002, her father Hugh in 2003, her brother Terry in 1974 and her twin brother Byron in 2012.

We would like to extend sincere gratitude to all the medical professionals that treated Bev throughout her long battle with cancer. Special thanks to the staff at Wind River Hospice for the exceptional care and compassion they provided Bev in her final days.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 254.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
