France Mayer
France was born in Montreal, Quebec on December 29th, 1946 and peacefully passed away in Whitehorse, YT on December 13th, 2015 at the age of 68.
France moved to the Yukon in 1982 and has been a proud Yukoner ever since. She loved her family very much and was a very proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed travelling and driving down the Alaska Highway to escape the Yukon winters. She would drive all the way to Mexico to enjoy the sun.
France was also a very proud original member of Grace Community Church in Whitehorse. Her Church Family supported her in many ways. We will always be grateful for all of your support, especially in the last few months.
France is survived by her daughter Lyne Hallman (Terry), grand children, Sarah Yuill and Daniel Yuill, step grand daughter Annabelle Hallman, and great grand daughter Charlee Lock, all from Grande Prairie, Alberta. She is also survived by her “Yukon” family, Carina, Yuranty and Frejean Pourier, Shandra, Frank and Spencer Ursich.
A special thank you to all of the Whitehorse General Hospital staff, your dedication and care was very impressive.
