To quote Diane, ” My children are the only thing I’ve done right in my life.”

We gratefully acknowledge and humbly thank the staff at Wind River Hospice in Whitehorse for taking such good care of Diane. A special thank you to Supervisor Leah White of Health and Social Services for her compassionate kindness in our time of need.

You now begin the journey home to your final resting place, with your family.

May the road rise to meet you,

May the wind be always at your back.

May the sun shine warm upon your face,

The rains fall soft upon your fields.

And until we meet again,

May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

You were the kindest sweetest little girl when you worked for me at North Virginia Acres. I was all alone and so sick one morning and I woke you up at 5:30 in the morning to come feed the horses for me as I was too sick to get out of bed. You hitchhiked over to my farm and not only fed and watered the 20 horses but also called your own doctor to come and help me. I never ever forgot that you were there for me….The world is poorer without you my dear. I know with such a kind heart for those in need and your love of animals, God surely thinks of you as one of his favorites. Goodbye beautiful soul….till we meet again.
