In 2011 Doc met and fell in love with Mable Walter. In 2012 they moved to Sundre Alberta to be close to their family in Alberta. Doc and Mable were married on July 13, 2013, in Sundre. In July 2021 they returned to the Yukon when they moved to Whitehorse. Doc and Mable were together until Doc passed away.
