Doris “Elaine” Iceton (née Chillman)
It is with profound sadness that the family of (Doris) Elaine Iceton announce her passing into the arms of the Lord on January 13, 2023, at the Whitehorse General Hospital at the age of 79 years.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 45 years, Mark; children: Serena (Gary) and Glenn (Erin); and grandchildren Andrew, Caileigh, and Liam. She will also be dearly missed by her friends at Sourdough Stompers Square Dancing Club, Beta Sigma Phi International Sorority, Whitehorse Cross-Country Ski Club, and Women’s Bible study fellowship at Riverdale Baptist Church.
Elaine was predeceased by her parents Doris and Harry Chillman of Toronto, ON.
Since moving to Whitehorse in 1969 to work as a Registered Nurse, Elaine loved travelling and camping throughout the Yukon, Alaska, British Columbia, and places far and wide with her beloved Mark. Elaine loved nature, beaches, and rambunctiously playing with her grandchildren. A tenacious UNO and game player, her wit, smile, and laughter, will be missed by all who knew her.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1pm, on Wednesday January 18, 2023, at Riverdale Baptist Church, 15 Duke Road, Whitehorse, YT.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Elaine’s name to BC and Yukon Heart and Stroke Foundation via 2300 Yonge St., Suite 1200, Box 2414 Toronto ON M4P 1E4 (www.heartandstroke.ca).
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Whitehorse General Hospital, Whistle Bend Place, and Home Care for their care and compassion.

Dear Mark and family, our deepest heartfelt condolences. We watched the service for Elaine on our computer! Thank you for doing that for those of us that couldn’t be there. We really appreciated our friendship with your family while we were in the Yukon. Those moose stews were absolutely delicious. Elaine always loved talking about her family and the joy in her heart shone through. She had a lovely contagious laugh that lighted the soul. We were always so amazed the energy she had and all the activities she was involved in. We loved her and I know she will be truly missed.
Love for always and forever.
