Doris Winnifred Dryke
Doris Winnifred Dryke passed away on July 26, 2019, in Whitehorse, Yukon at the age of 95.
Doris was born on May 2, 1924, in Port Angeles, Washington to parents William and Alice Heaton. She had 12 brothers and sisters of which Doris was the oldest girl.
Doris graduated from Sequim High School and continued on to achieve her degree in nursing at Virgin Mason Hospital in Seattle, Washington. On June 26, 1945, Doris married Walter Dryke, they had two daughters: Linda Gizinski and Donna Michaels. For Doris, her passion was family first! She loved to garden and tend to her flowers, knitting, reading, and she enjoyed people, as she always took part in community functions held in Beaver Creek.
Doris is survived by her daughter’s Linda (Gary) and Donna (Carl), granddaughters, Pamela (Rich), Kristine (Jesse), Alison (Guillermo), and Meagan, one great-grandson, Guillermo Jr, two sisters, and one brother.
