Elsie was a wonderufl person. I got to know her through line dancing and at the Canada Games Centre. She had an indomitable spirit. I will always have fond memories of her

Elsie was one of a kind…caring, compassionate, and lived life with style and flair. I met her at the Canada Games Centre and we became friends. I was new to the pool and Elsie showed me how to use some of the equipment. She even lent me her crutches when I had knee surgery a few years ago. And w hen she showed up at the pool with pink hair, she gave me courage to live my own life out loud and more colourfully. I will always be inspired by Elsie and her fighting spirit…she is so missed.

I met Elsie 3 years ago at the CGC where she was helping her grandson learn to skate. Even though she had health challenges and had not skated for 40 years, she bought skates and joined me at the rink. Her spirit and commitment were undauntable.
