Finlay Archibald McRae
With sadness, the family of Finlay Archibald McRae announces his passing on November 30, 2021, in Yukon.
Finlay was born in Manitoba on November 18, 1947. In the 70’s he moved to Yukon with his wife Sharon, where he worked for the Parks branch of Renewable Resources.
He enjoyed going fishing and camping. Meanwhile, Finlay also tried many different things and dabbled in various hobbies.
Donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Reginald McRae
Finlay was born in Melita, Manitoba
and moved with his Dad & Mom, and Older brother Reginald & sister Connie McRae for a short stay in Ashcroft BC and on to Mission City BC until 1960.
He moved back to Elva, Manitoba to finish school before completing his Psychiatric Nursing Diploma in Brandon.
He completed his Degree at Brandon University before moving to the Yukon with Sharon and Brad to work with the Federal Department of Renewable Resources assisting with building and operation of most of the Parks in the Yukon.
He retired early and spent much of his time Fishing, and taking some great photos of wildlife and scenery as well as playing drums in the local legion highland band.
He is our Brother and although we didn’t see him much, we will miss him

Finlay was my boss at Environment Yukon at one time and he was a really good guy to work for. He was always positive and solution oriented.
I would see him now and again but we didn’t keep in touch..howerver he’s one of those people you “just remember” and think of from time to time. My condolences to his family.
