My name is Karen Walters Conner, and my fathers name was John A. Walters. My father’s brother (my uncle) was Jack Walters. I did not know Mr Babala personally, however my Uncle Jack Walters was a good friend, and hunting partner, of his many years ago. I never knew about the book called “The Arizona Desert King And I” that was written by Mr Babala until I happened upon it earlier today (January 28, 2026) while doing some family history research online. Excited by the find, I was also hoping to find Mr Babala, and possibly hear some great old stories, and maybe even learn more about my uncle. I was still pretty young when my Uncle Jack passed away. I am so sorry for your loss, and I hope this note finds you well. Now that I know of this book, I am hoping to be able to find a remaining copy, and enjoy reading the stories of the adventures and hunting trips they went on together. Thank you for your time.
