Lenora Elizabeth Brown (née Tickner)

Lenora was born in Kapuskasing Ontario on November 23, 1951. She lived in the Kirkland Lake area for the first 30 years of her life. She was born 3rd of 11 children to Geraldine and Leonard Tickner Sr.

Lenora was first married at the age of 17 to Jim Aird (Pre-deceased) and they had 2 children Jo-Ann and Jamie. After divorce and many failed relationships she met Terry Brown. In 1981 Lenora and Terry moved the family to Mayo Yukon. In June 1983 Lenora and Terry married and were together until they each passed on.

Lenora is survived by her:

Children: Jo-Ann Aird and Jamie Aird

Siblings: Herb Tickner (Bonnie Tickner)

Margaret Richard

Leonard Tickner Jr.

Peter Tickner

Bridget Richard

Louis Tickner

And many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Lenora lived her life to the fullest right up to the end. She will be greatly missed by all who know her.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Thompson Center, Whitehorse Medical Ward, and Heritage North Funeral home for taking such good care of our mother. We would also like to send a GREAT BIG HUG AND THANK YOU TO DR. SALLY MACDONALD for sticking with us and all her hard work with Lenora for the last 6+ years.

A tea will be held in Mayo at a later date TBD.
