Lynne Phillips
Lynne Phillips, born June 1945, Guelph, Ontario, died November 18, 2023, in Whitehorse, after a short battle with cancer.
She was a lifelong teacher, wife & best friend to Al, mum to Christine & “Alpha Mum” to her four-legged poodle boys.
She wanted to come west, so, in 1981, the Hudson’s Bay Company transferred my father and family from Nakina, Ontario to Whitehorse, location of the most westerly HBC store in Canada.
Lynne worked at the Bank of Montreal. She volunteered with various organizations such as Target Downtown, the Salvation Army, and Yukon Arts Council.
She led church services at Macaulay Lodge. She always kept candies in her purse, especially for little ones.
She was a creative spirit and formed part of our art business, Chrisalyn Creations Studio.
Thank you to the wonderful staff at Whitehorse General Hospital & Wind River Hospice House.
Her faith gave her comfort and strength. As per her wishes, there is no service.
Please consider donating to the Cancer Society, the Animal Shelter, or a charity of your choice.

My heart goes out to you Christine. I always thought God took mothers from daughters when they have learned everything they could from them. But that’s not true. Keep her close in your heart and remember all memories. Good and bad. Sending my sincere condolences to your dad.
Christine Phillips
Thank you Cindy.

Christine I’m so sorry to hear of your mums passing. I got to know your parents when I was a young RCMP constable in Lynn Lake. I enjoyed many great meals at your home and wonderful fishing trips with your dad. They treated me like a family member. Your mother was a very special person.
