Olimpia Olmos Wieser

December 17, 1949 ~ June 24, 2020

Olimpia Olmos Wieser

It is with extreme sadness that the family of Olimpia Olmos Wieser announces her sudden passing on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at the age of 70 in Whitehorse, Yukon.

Olimpia will be forever missed by her children Karina (David) and Richard (Michelle) and by her grandson Cayman. She is survived by her devoted partner Roberto Garibay Barron, her sisters Lupe and Daly and brothers Beto, Julio and Chuyin. She will be fondly remembered by all her nieces and nephews and their children.

There are many ways to describe Olimpia, but her generous nature, honesty and “tell it like it is” sense of humor stood out above others and were cherished by those who knew her.  Olimpia’s memory will live on forever in our hearts, but we can take comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with our papa and her loving husband of 36 years, George Wieser.

    Querida hermana Olimpia:
Siempre te voy a querer y siempre te extrañare.

Me da mucha tristeza decirte adiós, te vamos a extrañar mucho!!

¡ Dios te conceda un descanso eterno!!

Karina and Richard, I’m so sorry to hear about your Mom. We were back yard neighbour’s when you and my kids were small. We had lots of fun visiting each other, playing in our back yard, and kids birthday parties! In that time I also got to know your Dad. I had many good gab sessions with both your parents. I am so glad I got to know them. They were both very fine people
