Stephen Anthony Clarke

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen Anthony Clarke on May 3, 2026, at the age of 63.

Left with endless memories, his brothers: Russell (Eileen) in Ottawa, Keith (Mary) in Cape Breton, Douglas in Cape Breton, Robert (Giselle) in Edmonton, and Tim in Moose Jaw. He was predeceased by his oldest brother Don (Maggie), in 2024, as well as both his parents.

Stephen was raised by Mora and Jack Clarke in Sydney, Nova Scotia, who later adopted him. The family lived in Sydney and Marion Bridge before eventually moving to Whitehorse when Stephen was 14 years old. It was there that he found the home of his heart.

He will be deeply mourned by his large extended family in Cape Breton and by his close friends in Whitehorse: Mike (Kym) Sheppard, Sam (JoAnn) Jurovich, Carol Church, Wayne Henderson, Steven Tippet, and all the staff and customers at Porter Creek Super A.

Honoring Stephen’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal services.

Stephen will be remembered for the friendships he cherished, the kindness he shared, and the lasting memories he leaves behind with all who knew him.
