Wendy was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family dearly. A friend too many, she was known for her love of walking, a familiar sight often seen trekking up & down Two Mile Hill in all elements of weather. She inspired the community with her humble zealous dedication towards the local Run for Mom Charity, earning her rewards from the Queen, Governor General, Commissioner & Rotary International.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Wendy at Sacred Heart Cathedral on Saturday October 22, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. A reception will follow at CYO Hall (downstairs of church).
The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to doctors Sally MacDonald, Jessica Blaker, Huy Chau, Danusia Kanachowski, Travis Flath, Sarah Yeager, and the attending doctors and nursing staff of the medical ward of Whitehorse General Hospital for their professional, compassionate care and attention of our dear Wendy.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her favourite cause, Run for Mom.

Wendy’s memory will always be that of a faced paced hardworking energetic independent woman who lived every day of her life to the fullest. Those who had the privilege of spending time with Wendy knew she asked very little of herself yet gave more in spirit through her friendship, compassion and understanding of others around her. In doing so, her memory will be forever in our hearts and minds. It was truly a blessing to have known such a remarkable lady. God bless you and yours.

We were saddened by the news of Wendy’s passing. We were honoured and blessed to have had her as a sister in law. I will cherish the many telephone conversations we had, always keeping in touch although we were many miles apart. No one can be prepared for such a loss as Wendy’s.
We are so sorry that we cannot be with you at this difficult time but be assured that you are in our daily thoughts and prayers. Wendy will be forever in our hearts.

My condolences to Wendy’s family, I was so sad to hear the news. I saw Wendy a lot when I worked for the Yukon Goverment and while she was delivering mail at that time. She always came by with a big smile and we chatted a bit, and of course she always got my Run for Mom donation! But I also received a generous piece of fruit cake that was delightful just before Christmas every year! She will be missed, Sharon.

Wilson and family.
Today is the day that we celebrate Wendy’s life. Remember during all the emotions that come with someone’s passing that on October 17th Wendy passed from this world of mortality into the world of eternity, she took God’s hand, knew that she was free and knew that she was home. It is my sincere wish that you find peace in the memories that all of you have created with her. She was a beautiful person and we are all so fortunate to have known her.
Love from our family

I am so sorry I missed hearing about Wendy’s Celebration of Life. She was a work friend and a gym friend (at Better Bodies) – we spent many sweaty hours together in step classes and lifting weights. I miss her dry sense of humour and her amazing spirit of fundraising. I was glad that I was able to see her at the hospital before she passed – thoughts are with all of her family and friends.
