Grant Davies (Dave) Hill

August 6, 1945 – March 3, 2025

Grant Davies (Dave) Hill

With great sadness we announce the passing of Grant Davies (Dave) Hill on March 3, 2025, at the age of 79. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Dave was known for his fierce loyalty, love of the outdoors and deep dedication to his family.

Born on August 6, 1945, Dave married the love of his life Glenella Rear on May 6, 1966. Together they built a life filled with love, adventure and cherished traditions. An avid fisherman, golfer, curler, camper and loyal member of the Yukon Order of Pioneers, Dave found joy in nature and in the company of family and good friends.

Dave leaves behind his beloved wife Glenella and his cherished family: his sister Shirley; his daughters Shirley, Shereen, Alexis (Ben) and Adrienne; his grandchildren Michael (Danielle), Glenella Grace (Mike), Alison and Jenny (Shea); and his great-grandchildren Rosie, Avery and Sophia. His presence will be deeply missed, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

The family would like to thank the staff at Wind River House and Dr. Jamieson for their patience, understanding and wonderful care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Yukoners Cancer Care Fund, https://www.gifttool.com/donations/Donate?ID=104&AID=551.

A small family service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. A larger gathering for friends and family will take place this summer with details to be announced.

May he rest in peace, forever surrounded by the love of those who will never forget him.
