David’s life began April 12, 1945 in Weston, Toronto Ontario as the elder son of Eric and Margaret Godfrey.  David and his brother Carl were avid hockey fans and enjoyed camping with the family.  David was a sports enthusiast, his favourite team being North Dakota State’s Bison football team. On
